Results obtained with diphtheria phosphate toxoid.

Abstract

An investigation was recently carried out in the Netherlands to determine the value of Diphtheria Phosphate Toxoid-a highly purified aluminium-phosphate-adsorbed toxoid prepared at the National Institute of Public Health, Utrecht-for active immunization against diphtheria. The authors describe the procedure followed in this study, in which 4,272 persons of both sexes and of ages ranging from under 1 year to 70 years were inoculated with the vaccine, and give a detailed analysis of the results obtained.
