Abstract
The finding that human papillomavirus (HPV) genes can immortalise breast epithelial cells has led to suggestions that HPV could be involved in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. Using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) we have been unable to demonstrate the presence of HPV DNA in a series of 80 breast carcinomas.Entities:
