Aortography; a discussion of technique and complications.

A J WILLIAMS, T M FULLENLOVE, J R BRYAN.

Abstract

Aortography is valuable in the demonstration of vascular blocks, in determining the exact location of the disease and as a guide to surgeons if operation is done. Since complications may develop, indications for the procedure should be carefully considered. One death and 15 nonfatal complications occurred in 594 cases in which the authors made angiographic examinations.A technique is described which takes a minimum of time.
