Use of the Palmaz stent in ostial celiac artery stenosis.

I J Finch1.

Abstract

The author reports a case in which a 20-mm balloon-expandable Palmaz stent was used with percutaneous transluminal angioplasty to treat a stenosis of the proximal celiac artery in a patient with mesenteric ischemia. The stent was dilated to 9 mm, eliminating the stenosis. The patient made an uneventful recovery and remains asymptomatic at 4 months.
