Abstract
The authors present and discuss the potential of pragmatic clinical trials as an alternative to both explanatory trials and observational studies to support the use of therapeutic interventions with good evidence. They argue that this strategy, when properly applied, can be a powerful tool to obtain unbiased measures of effectiveness, with simpler logistics and lower costs than in current clinical trials.Mesh：
