Abstract
Major incident plans in many countries have recently been updated to address the issues surrounding the deliberate release of chemical and biological agents. Despite this, many 'front line' doctors who would be responsible for treating victims of such incidents are poorly integrated into the plans. This article examines some of the challenges that face clinicians in the pre-hospital and hospital phases of a deliberate release incident.Mesh:
