Abstract

BACKGROUND: Uterine fibroids can pose a significant obstacle in surgical abortions. CASE: A fibroid uterus precluded successful uterine evacuation after 3 attempts. Using a flexible cannula, the definitive procedure was completed.
CONCLUSION: A flexible cannula can be useful in surgical abortions complicated by uterine fibroids.
