How to estimate the total receptor concentration when the specific radioactivity of the ligand is unknown.

Abstract

A computation method is presented allowing a direct determination of the total receptor concentration from a competitive displacement curve. Compared to the classical method based on the numerical processing of binding data, the proposed method has the advantage of being more accurate and of not requiring knowledge of the specific radioactivity of the ligand.
