Abstract
Leishmaniasis is an important zoonotic disease that accounts for approximately 57,000 deaths among people each year. Dogs are reservoirs for the disease, and dog ownership is a risk factor in endemic areas. This article discusses insect vectors for this disease, as well as diagnosis and treatment for dogs.Entities:
