Abstract
Radiotherapy is an important modality in the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers. While the majority of patients will be adequately treated without the need for radiotherapy, there are factors that may favour a recommendation for radiotherapy. The established roles of modern radiotherapy include the definitive, adjuvant and palliative settings. It is important that clinicians treating skin cancers have an understanding and awareness of these roles. The aim of this article is to present an overview of radiotherapy in the current Australian setting.Entities:
