CAM: definition and classification overview.

Abstract

The increasing popularity of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) around the world over the past decade has brought about interest within several health care organizations including the National Institutes of Health (NIH). An overview of the development of CAM definitions and classifications that summarize these developments follows.
