Abstract
The comorbidity of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and drug addiction is quite often overlooked in refugees. However, the simultaneous treatment of both disorders is of elemental importance for a positive outcome in addicted and traumatised refugees. Furthermore, mutual misinterpretations of habits, behaviours and reactions through negligence of the distinct sociocultural context of patient and clinician often leads to unfavourable developments.
