Sara L Campbell1.

Abstract

An exploration of empowering and disempowering experiences among nursing staff members and long-term care residents yielded themes based on educational, communication, and relationship needs of nursing staff and environmental and relationship needs of residents in long-term care. Strategies for empowering nursing staff and residents are suggested.
