Abstract
First case of parotid gland tuberculosis publicated to date is presented after intravesical instillation of BCG for a superficial bladder cancer. The diagnosis of the parotid gland tuberculosis is difficult because it is usually indistinguishable from a neoplasm. Combined fine-needle aspiration cytology with PCR or LCR amplification of mycobacterial DNA could be a good diagnostic tool avoiding an open biopsy.Entities:
