Abstract
Serious infections caused by Rhodotorula spp. are rare and usually occur in immunocompromised people, especially in patients with tumors and long-time use of indwelling central venous catheters. We report a case of Rhodotorula mucilaginosa homograft endocarditis in an otherwise healthy man, which was successfully treated by surgery in combination with amphotericin B and subsequently intraconazole.Entities:
