Abstract
Primary neoplasms of the pancreas and tumors metastatic to the pancreas are capable of initiating an epidode of acute pancreatitis severe enough to cause the development of a pancreatic pseudocyst and ascites. There are now three case reports of bronchogenic carcinoma metastatic to the pancreas causing acute pancreatitis. In the present case, there was histological evidence of rupture of pancreatic ducts by tumor and obstruction of ducts by nests of tumor cells.Entities:
