Abstract
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of death in men and women in the United States. This status is attributed to late diagnosis and lack of effective chemotherapy for metastatic lung cancer. Understanding of the mechanism by which mutated genes confer a neoplastic phenotype on cells has resulted in the development of many potential targeted cancer therapies. This article briefly discusses the work being done with some of these targeted agents in the treatment of lung cancer.Entities:
