Abstract
Strokes are the third major cause of death in developed countries and are probably the major cause of severe chronic disability. Hypertension is the most important condition predisposing to strokes, and treatment of hypertension is of great importance in stroke prevention. The relationship of strokes to the degree of hypertension, and to age, sex, race and drug treatment is discussed.Entities:
