Abstract
In those cases in which a contracted capsule at the elbow limits flexion or extension, surgical treatment is warranted. A wide exposure is necessary to identify vital structures and perform an adequate anterior capsulectomy. A direct approach through the triceps is recommended for posterior capsulectomy. In 6 cases, the results were good when the contracture of the capsule was not associated with skin contracture or bony deformity.Entities:
