Case report: an unusual intravesical foreign body: cause of recurrent urinary tract infections.

Muhammad Rafique1.

Abstract

A 16-year-old boy presented with recurrent urinary tract infections in spite of antibiotic treatment. Investigations revealed the presence of an unusual intravesical foreign body i.e. a common ballpoint. It was removed via cystostomy. In any patient presenting with recurrent urinary tract infections the possibility of an intravesical foreign body should always be considered.
