Diagnosis of clear cell sarcoma by fine-needle aspiration is difficult, as melanin is usually absent. Here we describe a case of a primary clear cell carcinoma with abundant melanin, making diagnosis definitive. Copyright 2003 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
