Abstract
Fluorescein angiography was safely performed in 100 consecutive cases of cataract extraction during the first postoperative week. Seventy-five percent of the 100 eyes had good quality fluorescein angiograms. Four eyes demonstrated cystoid macular edema. Therefore, the incidence of cystoid macular edema in the first week after cataract surgery was low when compared to the reported incidence (40%) four to six weeks postoperatively.Entities:
