Abstract
A case of liver actinomycosis successfully treated with high doses of penicillin for a long period after surgery is reported. The unusual location of the disease and early detection difficulties delayed the diagnosis and establishment of proper treatment, causing additional liver damage. Serum globulin levels, alkaline phosphatase and turbidity tests were of diagnostic significance. Adequate drainage of the lesion and long-term antibiotic treatment with penicillin proved therapeutically satisfactory.Entities:
