Abstract
Recent studies demonstrate the capacity of BM-derived cells to engraft as differentiated cells of a variety of organs, including lung. In this paper, we review the current state-of-the-art in this area. We also summarize our work demonstrating that cultured adherent marrow cells can serve as progenitors of lung alveolar epithelium.Entities:
