Ultrastructure of primary lymphosarcoma of testis.

M T Laitio, T J Nevalainen.

Abstract

A case of primary lymphosarcoma of testis was studied by light and electron microscopy. The fine structure of the lymphosarcoma cells was simple and monotonous. The cytoplasm was scanty and contained normal-looking organelles. Free ribosomes were abundant and the Golgi apparatus was well developed. The nuclei were large and irregular in shape with prominent nucleoli. "Nuclear pockets" enclosing material similar to the cytoplasmic ground substance were found infrequently. Remnants of disintegrating cells were also encountered.
