Abstract
The early history of the experimental work leading to the discovery that long-term potentiation (LTP) embodies Hebb's principle of association is described. In addition, the fallacy underlying the sometimes presumed distinction between 'cooperativity' and 'associativity' in the induction of LTP is pointed out.Entities:
