Jogger's toenail.

Brian B Adams1.

Abstract

Sports-related toenail abnormalities result from trauma during specific athletic events. A case is presented of jogger's toenail that developed in a patient who had just begun a running program. The cause, diagnosis, and management of jogger's toenail are discussed. Knowledge of myriad toenail disorders associated with sporting events helps the clinician to avoid misdiagnosis.
