Restorative care and economic wealth: a global perspective.

Paul A Brunton1, Thijs Vrihoef, Nairn H F Wilson.

Abstract

There are increasing numbers of reports of inequalities in access to, and the provision of, restorative care that may be related to economic factors. This brief communication reports an investigation as to whether a relationship may be established between the per capita gross domestic product (GDP), the average number of filled teeth (FT) and the Care Index (CI) for 35-44-year-old adults in different countries. It is concluded that a direct proportional relationship does exist for the countries investigated in this study.
