Psychologic evaluation of impotent men.

Psychologic evaluations have been performed as part of the screening process on men who were candidates for surgical implantation of the inflatable penile prosthesis. Goals and methods of evaluation are discussed, with special attention to the use of interview and psychologic test results. Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory profiles that suggest a psychogenic basis for impotence are presented and discussed.
