Abstract
The compliance of the large elastic arteries in the cardiothoracic circulation declines with age, causing a number of adverse effects on cardiovascular function and disease risk. Recent findings indicate that regular aerobic exercise may favorably modulate age-associated decreases in central arterial compliance and the related adverse physiological and pathophysiological consequences.Entities:
