Abstract
Investigations into various alternative techniques for decontamination of the surfaces of artificially contaminated shell eggs were carried out. Ionized air, exposure to ozone in a dry atmosphere and use of a commercial herbal antibacterial product were not effective. Application of ozone in a humid environment was only partially effective but a commercial ionized water anolyte was highly effective in eliminating Salmonella from egg surfaces.Entities:
