Abstract
We operated on 138 patients for intestinal obstruction. The different causes are discussed and their pattern of occurrence is compared with that reported from England and other African countries. The 27.6% mortality rate was closely associated with the 28.2% incidence of gangrene. Factors which may lower this high mortality rate are enumerated.Entities:
