Abstract
We evaluated the eye blink rate (EBR) in healthy Chinese adults and Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. In healthy subjects, the EBR declined with age, was lower in women than men younger than 50 years of age, and did not differ from male PD patients older than 60 years or female PD patients older than 50 years. Accordingly, EBR is not a good indicator for bradykinesia in Chinese individual older than 50 years that is prevalent for PD onset also.Entities:
