Abstract
Two cases of solar retinopathy following prolonged sun gazing are presented. Both patients were seen within an interval of 11 months, both with the diagnosis of schizophrenia paranoid type. These patients gave a history of sun gazing while praying to God, resulting in pigmentary disturbances of the macula, characterized by central and parafoveal depigmentation with perifoveal hyperpigmentation, as well as permanent impairment of vision in both eyes.Entities:
