Abstract
The photochemistry of several photochromic arene [e]-annelated dimethyldihydropyrenes (DHPs) was studied. These compounds have much larger photochemical ring opening quantum yields than the simple DHPs, making them potentially more useful as building blocks for photoswitchable materials.Entities:
