Abstract
The UK Public Health Laboratory Service hosted a meeting in London during November 2000 to discuss the management of Lassa fever following the four cases which had occurred in 1999/2000. Participants were invited because they had recent clinical or laboratory experience of managing cases of Lassa fever or had been involved in public health aspects of a case of this infection. The meeting was closed to enable free and frank discussion of confidential matters. This is a report of the general issues and recommendations which arose from the discussion.Entities:
