Abstract
Despite major medical advances, such as the introduction of the rubella vaccine and prolonged postnatal therapy of infants with congenital toxoplasmosis, intrauterine infections remain important causes of deafness, vision loss, and behavioral or neurologic disorders among children worldwide. This article describes the common pathogens causing intrauterine infections and summarizes the current status of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.Entities:
