Abstract
Violence has been associated with epilepsy. However, the links between violent behaviors and epilepsy involve multiple factors. These range from behaviors associated with underlying brain dysfunction to postictal delirious and psychotic states and rare cases of ictal aggression. This review describes the differential diagnosis of violent acts in epilepsy and the features that can be used to evaluate these behaviors.Entities:
