[The frequency of coeliac disease occurrence in patients with recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS)-preliminary report].

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of non-diagnosed coeliac disease in patients with recurrent aphthous stomatitis, admitted to the Department of Oral Medicine, Dental Institute, Warsaw Medical School in the years 1999-2000. The examination comprised 20 subjects (10 females and 10 males), mean age: 40 years. In one patient anti-endomysial antibody, the markers of coeliac disease (IgAEmA-80j) were detected.
