Abstract
As the aging population and the incidence of age-related health conditions increase, the cost of healthcare is also expected to rise. Anemia commonly occurs in the elderly, and is associated with a number of health conditions such as falls, weakness, and immobility. It can also lead to more-serious complications such as cardiovascular and neurological impairments. Consequently, anemia can have a significant effect on healthcare requirements and healthcare expenditure. Research is needed into the opportunity to reduce costs.Entities:
