Abstract
A case of tinea capitis due to Trichophyton soudanense observed in a 4-year-old African girl is described. The infection manifested with diffuse pustular lesions of the scalp. Diagnosis was based on culture. Genome study by single primer PCR fingerprinting was also performed. A younger sister, aged 10 months, was the healthy carrier of the mycete.Entities:
