Abstract
The prognostic impact of the extent of tumour resection in surgery of malignant glioma patients remains controversial. We report the results of cumulative survival of malignant glioma patients operated with MR-guidance. Patients with complete tumour removal were compared with a population of patients with incomplete tumour removal. A 0.5 T scanner was used to criticize the extent of resection during surgery. In total no significant difference could be found, however there is a tendency that complete tumour removal seems to be associated with a slightly increased median survival time.Entities:
