Abstract
Thrombolysis has been recently reported for the treatment of unsuccessful out-of-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This case report presents the first case of mediastinal hematoma following thrombolysis in this setting. Chest X-ray and hemodynamic pattern mimicked pericardial effusion with cardiac-filling compromise. Diagnosis was established by transesophageal echocardiography and chest computerized tomodensitometry.Entities:
