Abstract
Protein C and protein S deficiencies increase the risk of thromboembolic events. We report a case of combined protein C and S deficiency in a young woman, with resulted in acute myocardial infarction and asymptomatic jugular vein thrombosis. The patient was treated successfully with coronary artery bypass graft surgery and systemic anticoagulation. Our report emphasizes that a combined deficiency of protein C and S may be a high risk factor for arterial thromboembolic events in young adults.Entities:
