Employing a range of methods to meet patient information needs.

Jessica Greenwood1.

Abstract

The NHS has moved on from the days when the doctor knew best and chose what to tell, or not tell, a patient. Empowerment is the watchword today, and it is crucial for nurses to explore all means of providing patients with information, from face-to-face interactions, supported by written material, to helping them to seek answers via the world wide web.
