[Chemical constituents from Speranskia tuberculata (Bge.) Baill].

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the chemical constituents from the herb Speranskia tuberculata.
METHOD: The chemical constituents were extracted with solvent and separated with column chromatography. The structures were elucidated by spectral analysis. RESULT: Two compounds were isolated from the plant and identified as 18-hydroxy(-)-manool and beta-sitosterol.
CONCLUSION: Both were separated from this plant first time.
