BRCA2 keeps Rad51 in line. High-fidelity homologous recombination prevents breast and ovarian cancer?

Simon N Powell1, Henning Willers, Fen Xia.

Abstract

The mechanistic link between the BRCA2 protein, homologous recombination, and genomic instability has become clearer as a result of recent work describing the structures of different BRCA2 domains bound to Rad51 and to single-stranded DNA.
