Abstract
The glycosyltransferases GtfE and GtfD from the vancomycin producer Amycolatopsis orientalis have promiscuous substrate and NDP-sugar specificities. They have been used to generate novel glycopeptide antibiotics containing the heptapeptide scaffolds of vancomycin and teichoplanin.Entities:
