Abstract
The ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) plays a vital role in directing molecules to the 26S proteasome for degradation as well as other locales in the cell. Disrupting UPS function can lead to the aggregation of mutant or misfolded proteins, which disrupts normal cellular activity in diverse ways. Here we discuss how UPS dysfunction might contribute to a variety of neurological problems.Entities:
