Abstract
Thioglycollate-stimulated, adherence and density gradient-enriched peritoneal exudate cells were used for the preparation of a specific, highly active antimacrophage reagent. After absorption with mouse lymphoid cells, an antimacrophage globulin (AMG) fraction was shown to be cytotoxic for peritoneal exudate macrophages but not spleen, lymph node or thymus cells. The AMG suppressed both the in vivo primary serum antibody and spleen PFC responses to KLH.Entities:
